The Cambridge A-Level Mathematics syllabus emphasizes to enable the students to:
The A-Level Mathematics preparatory course is taught at TRACS in a more specialized and focused manner, with combination of lectures, problem-solving exercises, and group work to help students develop their understanding of the major concepts. The course is divided into 12 weeks. In the first 10 weeks, the students will be introduced to more complex concepts such as algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and probability. A deep understanding of pedagogy of teaching mathematics and the use of technology by our teachers will aid the students to understand the relevance of mathematics in real world and how it can be used to solve problems in a variety of fields. In the last 2 weeks, past papers practice sessions will be held.
All students of A-Level (9709) will take four papers from (Pure Mathematics P1, 2 & 3, Statistics S1 & 2, and Mechanics M1 & 2). These papers are to be chosen at two levels i.e., AS-Level, and A-Level.
At AS-Level, students can choose from three different routes to Cambridge International AS-Level Mathematics: Pure Mathematics only, Pure Mathematics and Mechanics, or Pure Mathematics and Probability & Statistics.
At A-Level, students can also choose from different routes to Cambridge International
A-Level Mathematics depending on the choice of applied mathematics (Mechanics and/or Probability and Statistics).
In Pakistan students usually opt Pure Mathematics P1 and S1/M1 at AS-Level. But at A-Level, students are recommended to choose Pure Mathematics P2 & 3 and S1/M1.
P1, 2 & 3 are for 1 hour 45 minutes and carry 75 marks each. S1/M1 is for 1 hour 15 minutes and carry 50 marks each. All questions in the paper need to be answered. All the papers assess content drawn from the entire syllabus.
The total fee for the 12 weeks is PKR 45,000 with 5,000 registration charges. This can be paid in three installments. First installment of PKR 25,000 at the time of enrollment, and remaining amount in two installments of 15,000 with a gap of no more than 3 weeks.
